Discussion:
The Scottsdale Open Data Initiative
The city of Scottsdale has published a handful of open data sets for public use as part of our open data initiative. These sets are used for distributing data across the internet in a machine readable format.
The city’s open data sets are available at http://data.scottsdaleaz.gov/ and currently include:
- Business Licenses
- Building permits
- Planning & development case files
- Encroachment permits
- Land surveys
- Plan reviews
- Purchasing solicitations
- Special assessments
As we continue the move toward more accessible and useful public data, the city would like to hear from the public about what applications and information would be useful to you.
What data sets should the city provide? What useful ways could data be used to increase public use and understanding of city services?
